Returning to the piano seriously after a 20-year absence, I took three Performance Diplomas (post-Grade 8 professional qualifications) in my late 40s, and passed two with Distinction.
“Frances’ introduction was helpful as I’m at the planning stage of my diploma”
As a result, I have spent considerable time studying and reviewing the diploma syllabuses and repertoire lists offered by the three main UK exam boards – ABRSM, Trinity College London and London College of Music. I have also worked with acclaimed teacher Graham Fitch at the London Piano Meetup Group’s popular Diploma Day, giving presentations on choosing a diploma and presentation skills.
“Very accomplished and controlled playing” – Murray McLachlan, concert pianist and Head of Keyboard at Chethams School
